Professor Yu-Ju Lan participated in the CALL 2025 Conference, where she co-organized a workshop with Professor Wen Yun of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, to promote the educational applications of artificial intelligence and the metaverse. She also presented an individual research paper examining emerging research trends in the use of the metaverse for language learning. During the conference, she exchanged research experiences and perspectives with scholars from various countries and regions.

In addition, in her capacity as Editor-in-Chief of Educational Technology & Society (ET&S), Professor Lan took advantage of breaks and networking sessions to promote the journal and engage with conference participants. Drawing on her extensive editorial experience and practical observations, she shared insights into the complete academic publishing process, from manuscript submission and peer review to final publication.
